RV Policies – What do I need to know?

Did you know that there are an estimated nine (9) million RV owners in the U.S.? You may be thinking about becoming part of the 9 million RV owners in the near future. If you are part of the 9 million or thinking about becoming a new RV owner. You might have a few questions about insurance!

RV policies will have similar coverages to your auto policy. But you may not be familiar with these other coverages that are offered on an RV policy. We have all heard it said, “it’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt.”

Vacation Liability coverage protects you if someone (other than yourself or a family member) is hurt at your campsite, or in your RV, while it’s parked.

Pet coverage helps cover veterinary expenses or provides a death benefit if the unthinkable happens to your pet in a collision. After all, a family vacation isn’t complete without our fur babies!

Personal Property coverage covers damage or theft of some personal belongings while in the RV.

While on vacation you shouldn’t have to worry if your insurance is going to cover these types of losses or not. If this is the first time you are hearing about these coverages or have additional questions, please don’t hesitate to give us a call!
